Teacher Spotlight: Katelyn Gallagher

Katelyn’s fun personality and passion for teaching encourages students to explore and create through music. Since joining Greensleeves in February 2017, she has inspired many young musicians with her can-do attitude, believing that there is music in everyone.

In addition to teaching private lessons, Katelyn also enjoys teaching in the marching arts. This summer she is teaching with the Hughesville High School Band and the Neshaminy High School Band for the 2018 marching band season. She is also a member of the Vivace CLIP staff, serving as an intern to help educate high school band leaders. In August, Katelyn is taking a Music Together teacher training course, with a focus in newborn to Pre-K music education. Katelyn hopes that all of these experiences will help her grow as an educator and as a leader.

Katelyn is also currently preparing for her senior saxophone recital, coming up this fall on November 17th. We know she'll be great!
